Welcome to the Rogers Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten Program:
It's Winter in Pre-K! - -Our four-year-olds are engaged in quality literacy, math & science activities this season at school, and students are making new friends, growing strong, and celebrating many 1st semester learnings:
In August, we welcomed students and began our first days of pre-kindergarten, then in September, we honored our grandparents with artwork, songs & refreshments, learned how to be a good friend to others, and enjoyed a Fall Pumpkin Patch field trip.
As Autumn leaves began to fall in October, we learned about community helpers and enjoyed a unit on the "The City & the Country," took school pictures, and had parent-teacher conferences, to show our families how much we have learned in pre-k this Fall.
As Thanksgiving approached, we enjoyed cooking activities and songs about seasons, had a great feast, and dressed in pilgrim & indian costumes.
We are concluding our first semester of pre-k learnings with sorting, classifying, writing our names, counting, recognizing our ABC's & sounds, measuring, and many other accomplishments, with our final day on December 19th....Constructing Gingerbread Houses together with our families.
It has truly been a great semester of learning in the Rogers Pre-Kindergarten Program, and we all look forward to a well-deserved Winter Holiday, with continued learnings when we all return to school on Monday, January 5th, 2015!
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year 2015!
