Pre-K Announcements
From the Director of Early Childhood:
It's SPRING in Pre-Kindergarten....WELCOME!
The Rogers Public Schools extends a friendly welcome to you and your family as you review our Pre-K website, seeking to learn more about our outstanding Pre-Kindergarten Program in the school district. The blue column, at top left of this page, provides information regarding our Spring Pre-K Registration, April 17 & 18 for the new school year in August 2013. There is also information regarding our pre-k curriculum of study, parental involvement, and our latest Pre-K Newsletter.
Our full-day, school-based pre-kindergarten program has 340 four-year-old students in 17 pre-k.classrooms throughout the school district. Our early childhood educational program supports a strong, developmentally appropriate focus in language & literacy, pre-k math & science, and social/emotional learning...as we prepare our young students with school readiness skills necessary for success in kindergarten.

We also have home-based instruction for parents of preschool youngsters, called the HIPPY Program. This program is for families of three, four, or five year olds whose parent(s) meet income or other requirements. Contact the HIPPY Coordinator at 479-631-3572 to see if your family would qualify.
Our Rogers Pre-K students are excited, as we all look forward to delightful Spring learnings and wonderful seasonal activities, including our annual Easter Egg Hunt, Spring Family Literacy Fair, Arbor Day Tree Planting, Mother's Day Tea, Pre-K Family Picnic,Splash Day Event, End-of-Year Awards, and our Last Day of School on Friday, May 24.

Pre-K Awards Program & Family Picnic - -May 22, 2013
All Rogers Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten families are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 22, for our annual Pre-K Awards Program & Family Picnic. Visit with your child's teacher for exact start time.
Note: Picnic meal cost is $3.10 for each family member participating in the picnic lunch, and your pre-k family will pay for the meal in advance (deadline Wednesday, May 15 to pay for family picnic meal), as we need to plan for meal numbers in each classroom for this special event.
See you and your family on May 22 for the Pre-K Picnic and student awards!
