Our Pre-K will honor all Pre-K GRANDPARENTS on Friday, Sept. 7th with an afternoon reception in each classroom.  Later in the month, Pre-K boys and girls will enjoy our annual on-site field trip by Legacy Farms, called "The Pumpkin Patch." - -with autumn stories from the farm, an authentic country corn crib for a playful outdoor math experience with measuring, pouring, and filling activities, Fall games,  and selection of pumpkins for each child to take home.  During Bikes, Blues, and BBQ, in late September, we will learn about the color...."orange," and our educational partner, Harley-Davidson, donates $3,000 to our Pre-Kindergarten Center to help with the purchase of new SmartBoard technology for our Pre-K classrooms to strengthen Literacy, Math, and Science skills.

As colorful  Fall leaves begin floating to the ground in October, our young  students will receive free on-site dental health checks, sponsored by our educational partners from Rogers Altrusa Organization, and the following week we will learn about the October migration of beautiful monarch butterflies, heading South for the Winter.... with help from  our educational partner....The Rogers Garden Club. - - We are planning to host an annual visit from a BIG-RIG from J. B. RPS classrooms will host Fall  Parent-Teacher Conferences, October 22 - Nov. 2, with all Pre-K families visiting with teachers in the classroom, observing  all the new learnings our RPS preschoolers are experiencing at school. - -November brings a change in the weather, as colder days become more frequent,  and all boys and girls will need a warm coat, hat, and warm gloves at school, as we go out to play most school days.  Our Annual Pre-K Thanksgiving Feast is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, November 15, followed by our scheduled Thanksgiving Holidays, the week of November 19 thru 23. - -All RPS classes will resume on Nov. 26.
